Alèa room

Alèa means “olive” one of the symbol-fruits in Salento. The word comes from “Griko”, an ancient language spoken in the area of “Grecìa Salentina”, to which the small town of Corigliano D’Otranto belongs.

An old enamelled hand-basin called “Limma” is the real washbasin in the room, the old times’ linen and hemp sheets have been changed into unique curtains conveying a sweet sensation of warmth and harmony, a low wall made of “lecce stone so re-arranged as for attesting to the old cattleshed held here. These ones are only some of the details featuring this room.

Moreover, outside the room has got a private patio with deck chairs, giving you the possibility to relax and enjoy a favoured view on the swimming-pool hearing cicadas’ singing!
